Question: What happens to my membership if i want to go on holiday?
Answer: Memberships can be put on hold for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of two years, as many times as you need. If you are making payments on your membership these will keep going and when your payments finish the hold time will keep going for you to use.
Question: Can I purchase a membership as a gift?
Answer: Sounds like a great idea. Contact us today about organising a gift certificate ranging from casual visits to longer term memberships.
Question: How soon can I start?
Answer: Now! You can start right now. Come in and see us. It’ll be great to see you.
Question: Can I introduce a friend or family member?
Answer: Yes! As a member you have unlimited privileges to bring different guests along for up to two complimentary work-outs and if they join up with will give you a thank you gift!
Question: How much does it cost join?
Answer: Not as much as you might think. We have a range of memberships starting from $9.95 a week. We don’t believe in making you commit beyond what’s reasonable. However results do come over time so we offer you a choice of membership duration - ranging from casual day visits to 36 month memberships. You need to weigh up the price advantage of choosing longer memberships against the actual commitment you can make to your exercise regime. To discuss membership options please contact our Membership Consultants today.
Question: When are busy times?
Answer: As with all clubs, some times are more popular than others and these tend to be straight after or before work. So, if you’re looking for a different workout time, why not come in early morning or late afternoon? It makes a great break from work – you can shower here afterward – plus we have Group Fitness classes scheduled throughout the day.
Question: How fit do I need to be before I join?
Answer: You can join today with your current fitness level. It is our job to help you get fitter! Many people struggle to get fit on their own and then put off joining a club and don’t achieve their goals. We can design a programme for your current level of fitness and ensure you are safe and comfortable while exercising. Then when you are ready we can review your programme as you get fitter and stronger.
Question: How many times per week should I exercise?
Answer: The national recommendation is at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. If you fit in a gym workout or class three to four days a week you will be well on your way to achieving your results.
However if this sounds too much to fit in we you can even start of by training once or twice a week for half an hour and when you have more time we can alter your programme for you. Exercising once a week is still 52 workouts a year more than doing nothing!
Question: I don’t know my way around a gym – do I get any help?
Answer: Yes! Assessments and programmes by our Gym Instructors are free and included in your membership. It’s a great way to get to know your equipment, facilities and classes. We recommend meeting up with one of our Gym Instructors when you join then every three months afterwards. This gives your body enough time to make changes on the programme you are given. But never fear we have Gym Instructors available from open till close that are here to help you anytime you need it if it be forgetting your programme, using equipment, spotting or technique correcting.
Question: What do I wear and bring?
Answer: Just wear loose and comfy clothing. Closed toe sport shoes are important to give you support and keeping toes safe.
For hygiene reasons please wear deodorant at the gym, that way we’ll all smell nice.
You will also need a towel and drink bottle. You can fill your drink bottle up from our free chilled water coolers.
